National Restaurant Association
Cooks Up Recovery Plan
Earlier this week, the National Restaurant Association (NRA) submitted its Blueprint for Recovery plan to Congressional leaders with the hope of obtaining additional relief for restaurants, as well as changes to the existing relief programs in place, primarily the Payment Protection Program and Economic Injury Disaster Loan program. The existing relief programs were a nice start for the industry, but the terms of the programs fail to match up to the realities restaurants continue to face.
In an effort to bridge the gap between two realities, we're pleased to share a summary of the NRA's Blueprint for Recovery which includes:
- $240 billion grant program proposal
- Changes to the Payroll Protection Program
- $50 billion of additional funding for Economic Injury Disaster Loans
- Federal relief for employer's share of unemployment insurance
- Allowing SNAP participants to access restaurant meals
